Barclays Capital	Nov 09 - Present (2 years 7 months)	Assistant Vice President - Database Developer Currently I "own" the data server and backend for the collection portion of Barclay's Capacity and Enterprise management infrastructure. We have a variety of agents deployed to all machines in the firm which report back a wide range of information from log events, to metrics data to detailed hardware information. The sheer quantity of data submitted daily from the nearly 100k machines in the firm creates lots of stress on our backend infrastructure which I continuously optimize (in-between development efforts). Our data server handles 3x more transactions then the next most-active SQL Server in the firm. In this position I've written some pretty cool data manipulation processes, optimized heavily across all aspects of SQL Server, used partitioning, CTE's and maintained the C# code our web farm runs on to handle data submissions. 	Sept 08 - Nov 09 (1 years 3 months)	Database Administrator I made it though the mess that was the Lehman Bankruptcy, that says a lot. I was the only remaining MSSQL DBA who knew the systems and they needed me for the integration (and support). I started at Barclays with a solid base understanding of administering SQL Server and a fairly strong understanding of building complex queries as well as strictly using queries and T-SQL to accomplish a variety of goals. From here I felt it was time for me to build a deeper understanding of SQL Server, and transitioned to a development team which uses MSSQL heavily. Tech: SQL Server, Windows Server, UNIX
Lehman Brothers	March 07 - Sept 08 (1 years 7 months)	Database Administrator Fresh out of college I joined Lehman Brother's Technology Development Program (TDP) which was a few intense weeks of studying everything there is to know about capital markets followed by project work which was eventually presented to the CTO. Code Drink Inc	Jan 05 - Dec 06 (2 years)	Director and Developer I Co-founded a small business, Code Drink, that delivered custom dynamic web systems to small businesses. Here I developed our products with PHP and MySQL, presented our web systems to future clients and worked closely with a designer to make our clients visions a reality. AXB Group	June 03 - Oct 04 (1 years 5 months)	Web Developer and Linux Admin At college I met a professor who needed some custom web work done for his business. He also had a few original ideas worth creating businesses out of some of which I was lucky enough to work on. Tech: RedHat, PHP, MySQL
